The Heart of Wales Line Trail
The Heart of Wales Line Trail is a long distance walk that weaves between stations along the line. It opened in Spring 2019 across Shropshire, Powys, Carmarthenshire, Brecon Beacons National Park, and the City & County of Swansea.
Cynghordy Viaduct
The Cynghordy Viaduct is a railway bridge that was built in 1867-8. It spans over 305 metres in length and is 33 metres high, with 18 arches built on a curve. The viaduct was noted as a Grade II listed building in July 1966.
The Heart of Wales Line
The Heart of Wales Line is a spectacular rural railway between Swansea and Shrewsbury via Llandovery. The seven days/week train service is operated by Transport for Wales. Much loved by day trippers and walkers, the line also provides a vital transport link for lively rural communities and towns across Mid Wales and the Borders.
