Creative Weekend | 25-26 July
Welcome to a weekend of making and creating! Join talented local makers for hands-on workshops in multiple venues across Llandovery. Whether you want to slow down, pick up a traditional craft, or get your hands dirty, there’s a session for you.
How to Book: All workshops must be booked directly with the individual artists. Details are listed below each session.

Stitch Fabric Scrap Bowls
Slow down and turn scraps of vintage Welsh tweed into beautiful, functional containers using mindful stitching. No experience needed!
When: Saturday & Sunday from 10:00 AM
Duration: ~2.5 hours
Price: £35 per person (all materials supplied, or bring your own favorites)
Good to Know: Ages 12+ (under 16s must be accompanied by an adult).
Max 5–6 spaces.

Drop-In Earring Workshop
Pop by anytime during the weekend to craft your own custom pair of drop earrings using real pearls, genuine gemstones, and glass beads.
When: Saturday & Sunday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Drop-in!)
Price: £5 per pair (Cash only on the day)
Wet-Felt a Bowl (with Jane Evans)
Discover the magic of wet-felting. Using only your hands, wool fibers, warm water, and soap, you’ll transform loose wool into a vibrant felt bowl.

Sat & Sun | 10:30 AM : 1.5-hour session for children (ages 6–12). Price: £15
Sat & Sun | 2:00 PM : 2–2.5-hour session for adults & teens (12+). Price: £25

Peg Loom Weaving (with Helen Hickman)
A mindful, tactile workshop teaching you the satisfying art of peg loom weaving.
Weave a uniquely textured sitting mat using natural, plant-dyed fleece.

Summer Beaded Bracelet (with Jacqui)
Design and create a stunning summer bracelet using silk thread, beading boards, and a sterling silver clasp. Learn professional techniques like attaching French wire.
When: Saturday 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM OR Sunday 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Price: £25 per person (all materials included)

Free Machine Embroidery (with Linzi)
Unlock your sewing machine’s potential and learn to use it as a fluid drawing tool! Master the basics of free-motion stitching and create an embroidered
piece to take home.
When: Saturday 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM OR Sunday 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Price: Special weekend rate of £20 (Usually £30!)

2 machines are available, but bringing your own is highly encouraged.

Discover the hidden potential of everyday plants like nettles, rhubarb, and dandelions. Led by the creator of the YouTube series "Cordage from Foraged Fibres", you'll learn traditional hands-on techniques to spin wild plants into strong, usable string.
